The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) turned over an initial Php 2.7 million to the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) for the development of a multi-purpose infrastructure facility for shelter, livelihood, disaster preparedness, and recovery activities for the communities significantly affected by the recent Taal Volcano eruption.

BPI employees led the initial fundraising drive wherein the amount raised was matched by BPI Foundation. The second wave of fundraising will be open to the general public. All BPI branches nationwide and the BPI online channel will facilitate and accept donations starting February 14 until March 13, 2020.
