BPI Foundation helps build multi-purpose center for typhoon victims in Cagayan

The BPI Bayanihan Multi-Purpose Hall will serve as a safe community shelter for the victims of Typhoon Ulysses in Baggao, Cagayan. The first BPI Bayanihan multi-purpose hall in Brgy. San Jose, Baggao, Cagayan for families who were displaced by typhoon Ulysses was recently inaugurated by Baggao Mayor Joan Dunuan, Tuguegarao Archbishop, His Excellency Ricardo Baccay together with BPI Bayan Ilocos Cagayan Valley Area group leader Benalie Paguirigan. The hall will be used for various community activities, including livelihood programs for 164 families, or 820 individuals.
BPI Bayan, BPI’s volunteerism program supported "Project Salinong", a shelter assistance operation spearheaded by the St. Joseph the Worker Parish of Baggao Cagayan, and the Roman Catholic Bishop of Tuguegarao, Inc., which built low-cost housing for Typhoon Ulysses victims.
