Reducing, reusing and recycling: E-donate program

One of the imaginative ways BPI limited its contribution to landfill waste as well as optimized its resources was through the e-donate program, which gave away used but fully functioning personal computers to schools and nongovernmental organizations that needed them. In 2011, the BPI Card and Call Center donated 120 personal computers to Barangay Saint Ignatius for them to use for their Computer Literacy Program. Some went to three schools in San Julian, Eastern Samar. Over 500 personal computers have already been reused since 2008 by various recipients, which include the Girl Scouts of the Philippines, Don Bosco Manpower Training Center and the Eulogio Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology, among many others.
